Lucas O'Neil

Lucas O’Neil is a writer and stand-up comedian based in Brooklyn, New York. Polite radical. Sincere comedian. Self-aware straight white man. Lucas’s comedy takes hold of these contradictions, or at least juggles them for a while. With a delightfully sharp wit and almost concerningly likable demeanor, Lucas eases audiences into a world of personal stories and self-reflection that’s as playful as it is poignant. Lucas has been featured by Comedy Central multiple times and has performed at some of the most prestigious comedy festivals in the country — including Laughing Skull, Limestone, Moontower and Just For Laughs. When not performing around the city, Lucas has opened for many national headliners such as Nick Thune, Kevin Nealon, and Trey Kennedy. This summer, his solo show, Emotional Man, debuted to critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, being named one of the Best Reviewed Edinburgh Fringe Shows 2023 (British Comedy Guide).
